These are brake shop notes for the 10th-gen F-150 (1997–2003) that includes 1998. 4×2 vs 4×4, Lightning, and GVW packages can change pad, rotor, and hose numbers. They are not for F-250/F-350 Super Duty, F-150 Heritage-only rows, or Expedition.
What usually brings people here
- Pedal pulsation or a growl that rises with road speed → rotor (BD125512E / BD125712E). Confirm stud count and diameter against the Front/Rear lists before ordering.

While the calipers are off, inspect hose fittings for wetness and make sure the guide pins slide freely. Fresh abutment clips (H5606) are cheap insurance when the old ones are rusty or missing.
