Rancho Performance Catalog

If you wrench light trucks and Jeeps—or you sell shocks and leveling kits and refuse to guess whether a Rancho SKU is a steering damper, a full vehicle set, a QuickLift loaded strut, or an adjustable specialty line—the 2022 Rancho Full Performance Catalog we host under Catalogs is still the shop sheet for application grids.

How to read Rancho PN families

Rancho part numbers are family-coded. Once you know the prefix, the catalog (and the Amazon title) usually make sense without opening three tabs.

  • RS54xx steering dampers — single steering stabilizers (classic RS5000-series dampers). High Featured volume on HD trucks and Jeeps. Example heroes: RS5407, RS5402, RS5404. One damper ≠ a four-corner shock set.
  • RS5000X — gas twin-tube performance shocks. Sold as vehicle sets (common Jeep TJ/JK and HD truck kits), as singles (RS55xxx absorbers), and as loaded strut+spring assemblies (e.g. RS551784 / RS551830). Confirm set vs corner before you order.
  • QuickLift RS9999xx — loaded strut + coil spring assemblies aimed at leveling / mild lift. Often sold as left/right pairs or as a pair set. This is not a “shock only” line and not a boxed multi-link lift kit.
  • RS9000XL — 9-position adjustable shocks. Specialty / later on our build plan; mention in the PDF when the customer wants tune-on-the-truck adjustability.
  • RS7MT — monotube damper line. Flagship Featured example: RS77405 steering damper. Different body construction than RS5000X twin-tube—do not treat the numbers as interchangeable.
  • RockGEAR — links, brackets, and related hardware (sparingly stocked on Amazon). Useful footnotes in the PDF; we are not building a RockGEAR hub from this guide.

Bay quick-reference: RS54xx = steering damper; RS55xxx / RS5000X set listings = corner or vehicle shocks; RS9999xx = QuickLift loaded strut; RS9xxx adjustable = RS9000XL; RS77xxx = RS7MT monotube. Match the job to the family, not the tire size on the Instagram post.

When a price is blank or “See price in cart,” treat that as MAP / buy-box behavior, not a missing part number.

Gotchas (Jeep vs truck, set vs single, QuickLift vs shock-only)

  • Jeep lift height is not decoration. The TJ set above is labeled for 2–3″; the JK set for 3–4″. Ordering the “popular” Jeep ASIN onto a stock-height or differently lifted Wrangler is how returns happen. Read the lift band on the listing and cross-check the PDF application.
  • Set ≠ single ≠ pair. A vehicle “Gas Shock Set” is usually four corners (or a defined front/rear package). An RS55xxx single replaces one corner. A “front pair” is two fronts only. Count the pieces against the customer’s ask.
  • QuickLift ≠ shock-only ≠ boxed lift kit. RS9999xx loaded struts level/raise with a strut+spring assembly. They are not an RS5000X twin-tube shock-only line, and they are not a multi-piece Rancho RockGEAR / long-arm system. If the customer wants shocks for an existing lift, do not sell QuickLift by default.
  • Truck badges split in the book. Half-ton F-150 / Ram 1500 / Silverado 1500 rows are not Super Duty / 2500 HD / Sierra HD rows. Same brand family on the lot does not mean the same RS number.
  • MAP / street price. Rancho (like other lift and performance suspension brands) often shows MAP or dealer-controlled pricing online. The 2022 PDF is a fitment source, not a live price sheet. Hidden Amazon prices are normal MAP behavior.
  • Steering damper is not a ride upgrade by itself. RS54xx / RS77405 calm oversized-tire wander and death-wobble feel; they do not replace worn RS5000X corners or a QuickLift leveling job.
