Moog Chassis Master Catalog (2007–2018)

If you wrench for a living—or you just refuse to guess at ball-joint numbers—the Moog Chassis Master Catalog covering roughly 2007–2018 U.S. applications is one of the books we still open all the time. It was published under Federal-Mogul’s Moog line as the “current” chassis master for that era: passenger cars, light trucks, and SUVs with the greaseable sockets, Problem Solver notes, and interchange chatter shops actually use.

What’s inside the 2007–2018 Chassis Master

Think of it as Moog’s chassis “bible” for late-2000s through late-2010s street machines. Typical coverage on each vehicle sheet:

  • Ball joints — load-carrying and follower, press-in and bolt-on, often with Problem Solver callouts
  • Control arms — complete arms with ball joint and bushings (CK / RK lines) plus bushing-only SKUs
  • Bushings — control-arm, strut-rod, trailing-arm, and sway-bar bushings
  • Tie rods & steering — inner (EV), outer (ES), adjusting sleeves, idler/Pitman where applicable
  • Hubs / wheel bearings — the 51xxxx numeric series for many late-model hubs
  • Sway-bar links — K75xxxx and older K-series links, left/right when they differ

Moog sheets almost never list a single model year alone. You’ll see stacked ranges like 2015–2012 over 2011–2006, with leftover trim notes (Si vs Hybrid, 4×4 vs 4×2 coil, aluminum knuckle vs cast iron). “Leftover” vehicles—trims or drivetrains that keep older parts after a mid-cycle change—sit on the same page with a qualifier instead of getting their own chapter. That’s why our HTML year pages repeat shared SKUs across several years and then split when Moog splits.

How to read a Moog row

Left to right, a typical application line is:

  • Year range — printed newest-first (e.g. 2018–2016). If your year sits inside the range, that SKU applies unless a trim note says otherwise.
  • Position / application note — Left Lower, Right Upper, 4×4 only, “Will Not Fit Aluminum Steering Knuckles,” engine size, etc.
  • Part number — the Moog SKU you search
  • Qty & figure — how many per vehicle and which diagram callout (F###)

SKU prefixes we live with every day:

  • K — classic Problem Solver / chassis parts (ball joints, links, many bushings)
  • RK — R-Series control arms (value / high-volume complete arms)
  • CK — premium / Problem Solver-style complete arms (often greaseable sockets, upgraded boots)
  • ES — outer tie-rod ends
  • EV — inner tie rods / rack ends
  • ST — specialty / stabilizer and related hardware in some listings
  • 51xxxx — wheel hub / bearing assemblies (numeric, no letter prefix)

When Moog prints both CK and RK for the same corner, they’re usually the same geometry with different feature levels—not two different vehicles. Pick the grade you want; don’t mix left CK with right RK unless you know why.

Gotchas from real catalog work

These are the foot-guns we keep hitting when we map this book to HTML. Save yourself a parts-runner trip:

  • 10th-gen Civic is thin in this book. 2016–2018 Civic coverage exists, but it is nowhere near as dense as 8th/9th-gen sheets. Don’t expect a full arm orchard for every 10th-gen trim here.
  • No 2018 F-150 in this book. F-150 application pages in the 2007–2018 Chassis Master top out at 2017. A 2018+ F-150 (and Raptor / Lightning / Tremor variants) needs later sources—see our newer F-150 coverage separately.
  • Ram 1500 2011–2012: 5-lug vs 8-lug matters. Early DS trucks mix hub and brake assumptions. Confirm lug count before you order a 51xxxx hub or a “fits all 2012 Ram 1500” kit off a blurry listing.
  • Silverado 1500 ≠ Express / Suburban / Tahoe / 2500. GMT900/K2XX 1500 sheets are not a free pass for vans or 3/4-ton. Same cab shape on the lot does not mean the same Moog row.
  • Raptor is not a regular F-150. SVT/Raptors use different arms, links, and often different hubs. If the book (or our year page) says “F-150,” read the note—Raptor is called out when it belongs, and omitted when it doesn’t.
